Nigeria in Tembisa

A Nigerian fan holds up a flag after police had to intervene to stop a crowd of Nigerian fans from storming the Tembisa stadium where Nigeria was playing North Korea in a Pre-World Cup friendly.There was thousands of people that were not allowed into the stadium, it was chaos. People were jumping the wall into the stadium, some just peered over the wall trying to get a glimpse of the game.

Pirate DVDs

Pirate DVDs lie everywhere in a house in Dowerglen, Edenvale.The Gauteng Task Team raided the house which was overun with copied DVDs and where lying all over the house. There was about 15 000 DVDs worth over R1 Million. I've never seen so many DVDs in one place before, this guy must have constantly been writing these discs, his bed was covered with them and he slept on the couch in the living room, every room in the house was full of copied discs. Busy guy...

Gautrain up and running

The Gautrain will officially open for business on Tuesday the 8th June 2010. I was on it during a media trip and the entire trip brought back memories of traveling from Glasgow to Edinburgh and London. Hello First World, we're not there yet, but we sure are on our way.

Springbok Bafana

Springbok coach, Peter De Villiers presented his football counterpart Carlos Alberto Parreira with a special jersey to wish Bafana Bafana well for the upcoming World Cup during an event at the Southern Sun Grayston Hotel, Sandton.Bafana captain, Aaron Moekoena jokes with Springbok captain, John Smit about whether the Bafana shirt would fit him.
