Yes, I know, it's been a while...

It's been a while since I updated my blog, I guess the hangover of the World Cup lasted longer than expected...
No, not really, I've just been lazy and also having a hell of a time figuring out how to upload photos on the new version of Blogger. Anyhow, I'm back now and have uploaded a few pics of some of the things I've photographed since the World Cup.

Shakira

Shakira tries in vain to stop police manhandling photographers when she arrived at OR Tambo airport this morning.Yet again, the best laid plans get messed up by power drunk police. Everything was organised by the record company and Shakira's PR for a select few media houses to get pictures of Shakira, as she arrived to perform at the Kickoff concert on Thursday night. The police in typical fashion where very aggresive towards everyone, even to the point of assaulting some other photographers. Why do I write this like I'm shocked? It's not the first or the last time...

Nigeria in Tembisa

A Nigerian fan holds up a flag after police had to intervene to stop a crowd of Nigerian fans from storming the Tembisa stadium where Nigeria was playing North Korea in a Pre-World Cup friendly. There was thousands of people that were not allowed into the stadium, it was chaos. People were jumping the wall into the stadium, some just peered over the wall trying to get a glimpse of the game.
