Shakira

Shakira tries in vain to stop police manhandling photographers when she arrived at OR Tambo airport this morning.Yet again, the best laid plans get messed up by power drunk police. A Nigerian fan holds up a flag after police had to intervene to stop a crowd of Nigerian fans from storming the Tembisa stadium where Nigeria was playing North Korea in a Pre-World Cup friendly. There was thousands of people that were not allowed into the stadium, it was chaos. People were jumping the wall into the stadium, some just peered over the wall trying to get a glimpse of the game.

Gautrain up and running

The Gautrain will officially open for business on Tuesday the 8th June 2010. I was on it during a media trip and the entire trip brought back memories of traveling from Glasgow to Edinburgh and London. Hello First World, we're not there yet, but we sure are on our way.
