Overtaken

The Swiss A1 car passes the South African car during the South African A1 Grand Prix held at Kyalami. The Swiss car driven by Neel Jani eventually won the race.
It seems that my blog is being "overtaken" by motoring content. That's not on purpose its just the way the news cookie crumbles. Hopefully, I'll soon be involved in something a bit different and a bit more interesting. The A1 Grand Prix was definitely a spectacle, but after seeing the cars come rushing by you at warp speed for the third time and having no idea whose winning, it gets old fast. But, I must admit, it was worth going just to get my eyes on the Ferrari FXX, the racing spec Enzo.

Your images of this car race at Kyalami looks amazing! It must be really exciting to cover different events as a photojournalist. Both of these pictures have stunning bright colors that makes brings life to them. In the first photograph, the slight view of the green grass surely brightens the picture. The dept of field can be seen. The tree and a sign in the way back is out of focus and you control your lens so that you focus on the race cars. I can even read the letters written behind the closest race car on the right. Did you lay down on the floor to get this kind of shot? I think I can imagine you just lying on your stomach and taking several shots. That is something I'm learning to do as I'm taking pictures...I'm constantly moving around and standing on top of tables, kneeling on the floor, and much more.

I like how you give room for the race car in the second photo. It gives a sense that the race is waiting to be signaled to start the race. Through the posture of the people in the background tells me that the race has not begun and they are just waiting. There is contrasting colors in this photo too. The bright yellow race car captures my eye and the background is slightly covered with shadow.
