Kibbutz Lubner

Kibbutz Lubner located in Olifantsfontein, Midrand is a Israeli styled Kibbutz that has 22 residents that are intellectually disabled. This gives them the opportunity, tools and training to farm plants and vegtables in a safe fullfilling environment. The Kibbutz is run under the auspices of Chevrah Kadisha, a Jewish charity organisation that has many projects including Selwyn Segal that runs homes for intellectually disabled people from all walks of life.Beverly Cohen works in the laundry.72 year old Max Cohen says that the people at the Kibbutz are like his family.
