Crocodile feeding time

Johannesburg Zoo released their 15 male Nile crocodiles from their winter hot house and fed them their first meal in 3 months, a whole lamb carcass. Crocodiles need to have their temperatures controlled at around 26 degrees C and the hot house stay allows them to do this over the cold Johannesburg winter months. Whilst they are in there they don't eat at all, when it warms up and they are taken out, they are very ready to eat.
